Terms of Service
Effective 29 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the PROVENARI app and services. By using PROVENARI you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
PROVENARI (“we”, “us”) provides the service. Contact: support@provenari.app.
1. What PROVENARI is
PROVENARI is a private catalog for items you own: structured Ownership Records with photographs, documents, value history, insurance details, and locations, presented as an Ownership Passport. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not an insurer, an appraiser, a registry, a marketplace, or a legal service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use PROVENARI, and at least the age of majority to purchase a Membership. If you use PROVENARI on behalf of someone else — for example managing a family member’s or an estate’s records — you confirm you are authorized to do so.
3. Local mode and hosted service
PROVENARI can run without an account, storing everything only on your device (“local mode”), or with an account and a paid Membership that adds cloud storage, backup, restore, and multi-device sync (“hosted service”). In local mode we hold no copy of your data and cannot recover it for you; safeguarding your device and its backups is your responsibility. When you upgrade, the app transfers your local Collection into your hosted account and confirms the transfer succeeded before treating the hosted copy as authoritative.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@provenari.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Your content stays yours
The records, photographs, documents, and other content you store in PROVENARI belong to you. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service — to store, process, transmit, back up, and display your content to you and at your direction. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, including recording stolen property to disguise its provenance or fabricating evidence of ownership;
- upload content you have no right to store, or content that is malicious (such as malware);
- attempt to access other users’ data, probe or overload the service, or circumvent its security or its plan limits;
- resell or provide the service to third parties as your own offering.
7. Membership, billing, and refunds
PROVENARI Membership is a paid auto-renewing subscription purchased through the app store on your platform (for example, Apple’s App Store). The store handles billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its own terms; prices are shown at purchase, and you can cancel anytime in your store subscription settings, effective at the end of the current period. Refunds are subject to the applicable store’s rules. If your Membership lapses, paid features stop, but your stored data is retained — limits apply to creating new content, never to keeping what you already recorded.
8. What PROVENARI does not promise
- Ownership. An Ownership Record, Passport, or dossier is your own documentation. It does not by itself establish, transfer, or prove legal title, and we make no representation that any authority, insurer, court, or buyer will accept it.
- Valuation. Values in PROVENARI are figures you record. They are not appraisals, and we provide no valuation, investment, or financial advice.
- Insurance. Recording a policy or claim in PROVENARI does not create, modify, or file anything with any insurer. Your coverage is governed solely by your policy.
- Legal and law-enforcement outcomes. PROVENARI provides no legal advice and no guarantee that its records will support any legal, regulatory, or law-enforcement process.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for keeping independent copies of documents that matter to you.
9. Service availability
We work to keep the hosted service available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may modify features, and we may suspend or interrupt service for maintenance, security, or reasons beyond our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Membership in the twelve months before the claim and fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Termination and deletion
You can stop using PROVENARI at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and everything in it from within the app (Profile → Delete account); deletion cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law; if we do so other than for violation or legal necessity, we will make reasonable efforts to give you a chance to retrieve your data. Sections that by their nature should survive — including 5, 8, 10, and 12 — survive termination.
12. Intellectual property
The PROVENARI app, its design, and its name are our intellectual property (or that of our licensors) and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app except where the law expressly permits it. This section concerns the app itself; your content remains yours (section 5).
13. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we will update them in the app and revise their effective date, and for material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
